The Swedish riders offered high-octane drama in the jumping final of the Olympics.

Six went flawlessly from the basic round and made it to the jump-off.

Malin Baryard-Johnsson, Peder Fredricson and Henrik von Eckermann.

But once there, it was not quite enough all the way.

Although Fredricson took home the Olympic silver, von Eckermann and Baryard-Johnsson had to settle for fourth and fifth place respectively.

- It was a little unfair.

Sweden was the best, even though there were not three medals.

Too bad it was not a team competition today, says Lotta Björe.

All results were reset before the jump.

- I do not like this format.

In a championship, it should be included in several rounds, I think.

Then I can understand that it is easier for those who are not familiar with to understand when it is qualification and final with jumping.

But the second format is better, I think, says Lotta Björe.

Tributes to Baryard-Johnsson

- Would have liked Malin to take a medal, she deserves it.

She's been good for so long.

That horse is difficult to ride fast with when it comes to the crunch.

She is one of the world's most skilled riders, says Björe.

Just a medal, but wind in the back for the Swedes before this weekend's team competition.

- Sweden is a very strong gold candidate, it is not possible to stick under a chair with.
