The damallsvenska club Örebro has previously announced that the team's attacking star Karin Lundin is leaving for games abroad.

Her replacement will be the Finnish national team player Amanda Rantanen.

She has signed a contract that extends over the 2022 season.

- I expect that the level in the league will be higher, with more technically skilled players, than I might be used to.

But this is also what will be developing for me.

It will be fun to get to test Swedish football culture and the opposition in women's Swedish, she says in a press release.

"One of Finland's great talents"

Rantanen most recently came from PK-35, which she helped take the step up from the second division two years ago.

- It feels really good that we can attract one of Finland's great talents to KIF Örebro.

In Amanda, we get a good deep lead player and toxic goal scorer, which is what we were looking for.

We see her as an important piece of the puzzle in place already now for next season, although I am convinced that she will join the team and make an impression with a relatively short starting distance, says Jonas Nilsson, sports manager at KIF Örebro.

The 23-year-old, who made his national team debut last year, is expected to be ready to play until August 22, when the damallsvenskan restarts and Örebro is set against FC Rosengård away.
