Leksand player Johan Fransson was involved in an accident this weekend.

Leksand announces this on its official website.

Fransson first received care at Falu Hospital, but was moved to Uppsala.

- It was to get specialist care considering that there were serious injuries and they wanted to get the best possible care.

Now he has received it and diagnoses have been made and he will be sent back to Falun, says the player's agent Joakim Persson to SVT Sport.

- It was a serious incident and according to the circumstances he is fine.

It could have had a completely different outcome.

"Still in an emergency"

The agent believes that it is too early to talk about Fransson's status in the longer term.

- It may take the time needed.

Everyone close to Johan is concerned about his health now and hockey is secondary of course.

What is the next step?

- With the diagnoses made and any gymnastics that may be needed, we will see, we are still in an emergency situation and awaiting the doctors' diagnoses, the same applies to his recovery.

"Fairly okay"

Leksand has commented on the incident on its official website and chooses not to say whether the consequences of the accident will affect the hockey season.

- It is obviously sad when someone is involved in an accident, but under the circumstances it seems to be quite okay with Johan. When something like this happens, of course, sport comes second, and the most important thing for us is of course that Johan feels good and recovers as soon as possible, says general manager Thomas Johansson according to the club's site.
