The defending champion Muhammad, who started the race with a starting gunshot, took the lead until the ninth hurdle, but Macropoline's back was terrifying.
After the two runners crossed the last 10 hurdles almost simultaneously, the macropoline sprinted out and crossed the finish line 0.12 seconds ahead of Muhammad.
Both fighters broke world records, with Macropoline taking the title as the new champion with a time of 51.46.
