China News Service, Zhangzhou, August 2 (Reporter Zhang Jinchuan) "Three minutes is doomed, seven minutes depends on hard work, I don't regret every sail." After winning the gold medal of women's windsurfing RS:X in the Tokyo Olympics, Zhangzhou, Fujian Athlete Lu Yunxiu said in an interview with reporters.

Lu Yunxiu's gold winning this time was the first gold medal in the history of the Zhangzhou Olympics, achieving a "zero" breakthrough for Zhangzhou athletes in the Olympic gold medal.

In her view, Fujianese can only win if they love to fight, and they have to fight wherever they go.

Seeing her daughter standing on the highest podium from the live TV broadcast, Lu Yunxiu's mother Li Suran cried with joy.

Li Suran said that winning glory for the country and allowing the five-star red flag to rise at the Olympic Games has always been Lu Yunxiu's wish since preparing for the war.

Lu Yunxiu's growth path began with the word "running".

Lu Yunxiu is a rural girl who was born in 1996 in an ordinary peasant family in Fanyang Village, Duxun Town, Zhangpu County, Zhangzhou City.

Parents are usually busy with farm work, Lu Yunxiu starts from playing with her friends in the fields, looking for her love for sports while running.

When he was in elementary school, the school was nearly one kilometer away from home, and his parents were too busy to pick up and drop off. Lu Yunxiu started his own unique way of going to and from school-running.

After years of running back and forth without interruption, Lu Yunxiu gradually showed outstanding physical fitness and athletic talent.

"Mum and Dad have not engaged in any sports, but they do a lot of physical work, maybe it is a kind of inheritance." Lu Yunxiu's brother Lu Junfeng joked that her younger sister liked sports since she was a child, so she volunteered to participate in the school sports meet when she was in school; After professional athletes, whether in training or in life, they will calmly resolve the difficulties they encounter, and they have always been very independent and brave.

"Excellent talent, very hardworking, daring to fight, never admit defeat!" This is Lu Yunxiu in the eyes of Lu Futi, a teacher of Zhangpu No. 4 Middle School.

He witnessed Lu Yunxiu's growth experience from "running" all the way from the school playground to "sails" on the sea and boarding the world championship podium.

"One time, we wanted to form a team to participate in the county's primary and secondary school sports meet. During the 1500-meter test, Yun Xiu, who was passing by with her schoolbag, said that she wanted to try too." Lu Futi recalled, he looked suspiciously. This thin girl was surprised by the test results, "She was 100 meters faster than the two senior students who were planning to compete."

Lu Yunxiu raised the five-star red flag to celebrate the victory.

Through this test, Lu Futi discovered Lu Yunxiu's sports potential and left her with the track team for systematic track and field (middle and long distance running) training.

In this way, Lu Yunxiu began to embark on the road of sports.

"After recruiting her in, no matter how much exercise she arranges, she never talked about suffering." Lu Yunxiu's hard work impressed Lu Futi very much.

While proud of the "apprentice"'s excellent track and field performance, Lu Futi realized that Lu Yunxiu, who has a talent for sports, should go to a higher platform.

In 2008, under the recommendation of Lu Futi, Lu Yunxiu entered Zhangpu County Junior Sports School's track and field team training.

Under the guidance of Shi Yutao, coach of Zhangpu County Major Sports School, Lu Yunxiu chose the windsurfing event.

In October of the same year, the windsurfing team of Fujian Aquatic Center came to Zhangpu to recruit students.

After a (training) inspection, Lu Yunxiu was selected into the Fujian Provincial Sailing and Windsurfing Center, and has since forged an indissoluble bond with the unpopular sport of windsurfing.

"The Olympic championship is not the end, but a new starting point." Lu Yunxiu's enlightenment coach Shi Yutao knows that Lu Yunxiu has made unimaginable efforts for this gold medal.

According to him, Lu Yunxiu knew nothing about windsurfing when he first got involved in the sport of windsurfing. “In the beginning, when standing on a narrow windsurfing board, the whole person lost control, swayed, couldn’t balance, and was embarrassed. Falling into the sea, coupled with the poor physical condition at that time, during a training session, I passed out directly at sea and suffered a lot."

The intense physical training and sailing training caused little Lu Yunxiu to suffer, and years of training made her palm grow thick calluses.

Looking back on the days of hard work, Lu Yunxiu said that when he encountered setbacks, he would not give up lightly; as long as he worked hard, even if the results were unsatisfactory, he would not regret it.
