17 people involved in the Olympic Games in Japan are newly infected with the new coronavirus

It was found that a total of 17 people, including those involved in the Games and volunteers who came to Japan for the Tokyo Olympics, were newly infected with the new coronavirus.

This was announced by the Games Organizing Committee, and no athletes or team members staying in the Olympic Village were infected.

This brings the total number of infected people from July 1st to August 2nd, when the Organizing Committee began to announce, to 276.
