In Athens in 2004, Carolina Klüft, Christian Olsson and Stefan Holm organized three Swedish Olympic gold medals in athletics.
Since then, there has been a medal drought at the Olympics for the Swedish athletes - until Saturday's discus final in Tokyo.
It was a perfect start for the athletics part of the Olympics - which is also Karin Torneklint's last championship as national team captain before Kajsa Bergqvist takes over.
- It was absolutely fantastic, it was magical.
You hope in your wildest fantasies that it will go as it did, says Torneklint.
- Daniel has a huge pressure on him to succeed and then Simon sneaks under the radar and takes the chance.
Magically.
