It was a historic Swedish success in the discus final when Daniel Ståhl and Simon Pettersson took Sweden's first medals in Tokyo.

It is the first time since 1948 that two Swedes have won a medal in the same athletics in an Olympic game.

Ståhl won after hitting with a super throw of 68.90 already in the second round.

The silver went to training partner Simon Pettersson who hit with 67.39 in the fifth round.

- It's magical.

It's heartwarming.

It is a heartwarming event that the training mates and Vésteinn Hafsteinsson who have done a fantastic job with these perform at their best on the biggest stage available.

It's so impressive, says Jeng.

It is believed that Daniel Ståhl took the gold, it was Simon Pettersson who impressed the most.

- It was a bit of a gas hug of a skin-knotting character.

We knew in advance that he might surprise, but it's a bit of a big requirement to have.

But that he goes in and does this, and takes a silver coin behind Daniel Ståhl is impressive.

"Silver had been a failure"

Daniel Ståhl has won most things.

World Cup gold in Doha 2019, and World Cup silver in London 2017.

And in the Olympics in Rio, Ståhl did not make it out of the qualifiers.

But the Olympic gold was to come and Ståhlmannen was superior in Tokyo.

- He is the man to beat every competition.

And it's a superior style he wins with, says Alhaji Jeng and continues:

- A silver would have been a failure if you look at what he has done on the way to the Olympics.
