It was two lucky Swedes who stopped in the mixed zone after taking both gold and silver in the men's discus final.

- I do not think we understand ourselves what we have done.

It's hard to take in.

It has always been a dream to run around with the Swedish flag in the arena like this, says Simon Pettersson to Discovery +.

He continues:

- I have had a hard time believing that it was possible to win a medal in this competition.

But this was absolutely amazing, just like I dreamed of.

It was tight, someone is increasing, I answer.

I might have believed in a bronze coin, but silver ... this was more than I could dream of, says Pettersson.

Trained together for eight years

Ståhl and Pettersson have trained together since 2013.

- This is extremely wonderful.

We have trained hard at home in Sweden, had fun, been injury-free and have believed in what we have done.

I remember last autumn when I told Simon that "you can win a medal if you just believe in it".

And now we are here today, says Daniel Ståhl.

- I strongly believe in group dynamics and that you have fun.

That it's not that serious in serious.

We have good chew in the whole squad.
