A week-long emotional drama by Korean archery in Tokyo, Japan has come to an end.

The drama started from the ranking round held on the opening day of the 23rd.

Exceeding expectations, the youngest males and females, Je-deok Kim (Gyeongbuk Il High) and Ansan (Gwangju Women's University), performed the best in the mixed team competition the next day.

17-year-old Kim Je-duk, who overcame the pressure of the first Olympic stage by shouting 'Fighting', and 20-year-old Ansan, who was unshakable as the name suggests, worked together to win the mixed gold medal and put the first button on the national team brilliantly.

On the 25th, Ansan, Chaeyoung Kang (Hyundai Mobis), and Minhee Jang (Incheon National University) achieved the feat of winning the women's team event for the ninth consecutive year, receiving praise from all over the world.

The women's shrines boasted their ability to only give one set point from the quarterfinals to the finals.

The men's national team consisting of Kim Je-duk, Oh Jin-hyeok (Hyundai Steel) and Kim Woo-jin (Cheongju City Hall) took over the baton and harvested the third gold medal in the men's team event.

In the quarter-finals played between Korea and Japan, it was a great match that went all the way to the shoot-off.

South Korea's arrow by Kim Je-deok hit the center of the target 2.4 cm closer to the center of the target than that of a Japanese player, and they dramatically advanced to the finals.

In the final against Taiwan, 'oldest brother' Jinhyuk Oh, who was the last shooter, shouted 'end' as soon as he released the bow, making the moment of victory even more thrilling.

The drama reached its climax when Ansan won the women's individual event and became the first three archery champions in history.

In the semi-finals and finals, Ansan played an outstanding match that went to the shoot-off one after another, and wrote a new history without being shaken in the midst of social media controversies.

After the game, Ansan said, "I knew about the issue," and "I think I was able to achieve good results thanks to a lot of support. I sincerely thank the people."

Kim Woo-jin (Cheongju City Hall) was the last surviving player in the men's individual event to win the fifth gold medal.

Kim Woo-jin, who won the gold medal in the team event at Rio 2016, but was eliminated in the round of 32 in the individual event, made a strong move toward his first individual gold medal.

However, in the quarterfinals, he was caught by Dang Zijun.

After the match, Kim Woo-jin resolutely said, "(In this competition) there are no more arrows to shoot. I will fill in the gaps and do my best to prepare for the Paris Olympics in three years."

Korean archery, which shot a golden arrow that pierces four gold medals in Yumenoshima, which means 'island of dreams', is now preparing for the 2024 Paris Olympics to be held three years later.
