Russell Westbrook will join LeBron James and Anthony Davis in California after a deal with the Washington Wizards.
The 32-year-old leader is notably traded against three players (Kyle Kuzma, Montrezl Harrell and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope).
Russell Westbrook, a native of a Los Angeles suburb, averaged 22.2 points, 11.5 rebounds and 11.7 assists per game with the Wizards this past season.
The 2012 Olympic gold medalist was the 2017 MVP for Oklahoma City, and was nine times in the All-Star.
A single French drafted
This Thursday was also the NBA 2021 Draft. The first (and only) French drafted was in the second round.
Juhann Begarin, 18, native of Guadeloupe and Paris Basketball player (Pro B), was the 45th pick in the draft.
He will play with the Boston Celtics.

Two other young Habs could discover the NBA this season.
They are Joël Ayayi and Yves Pons.
The back of Gonzaga, finalist of the NCAA 2021 tournament, has signed up with the Los Angeles Lakers while the inside of the Tennessee Volunteers will join the Memphis Grizzlies, where another Frenchman, Killian Tillie, plays.
They will have to prove themselves this summer to integrate the workforce of these teams.
