Jansen reached a score of 278.75 after five jumps.

The best eighteen of the 27 participants qualified for the semi-final, which is scheduled for Saturday.

After her fifth and final jump, Jansen was in thirteenth place, which meant she could no longer fall outside the top eighteen.

There are still a few clean jumpers in action.

Jansen prepared for the Games this year, among other things, via the European Championships in Budapest.

In May she finished somewhat disappointingly tenth at the European Championships, although she did have a fairly good facade.

"It feels a bit strange. Despite the somewhat disappointing result, I am satisfied with a lot of things," she said at the time.

"There is still work to be done in the coming months towards Tokyo, but the foundation is there."

Jansen is there for the first time at the Olympic Games.

She already won a ticket for Tokyo at the World Cup two years ago.
