Jansen reached a score of 278.75 after five jumps.

The 18 best of a total of 27 participants qualified for the semi-final, which is scheduled for Saturday.

After her fifth and final jump, Jansen was in thirteenth place, which meant she could no longer fall outside the top eighteen.

There are still a few clean jumpers in action.

Jansen prepared for the Games this year through, among other things, the European Championships in Budapest.

At the European Championships in May she finished somewhat disappointingly in tenth place, although she did have a pretty good feeling about that.

"It feels a bit strange. Despite the somewhat disappointing result, I am satisfied with a lot of things," she said at the time.

"There is still work to be done in the coming months towards Tokyo, but the foundation is there."

Jansen is there for the first time at the Olympic Games.

She already won a ticket for Tokyo at the World Cup two years ago.
