If Ansan (20, Gwangju Women's University) wins one more time in women's archery, they will become the first three Olympic archery champions in history.

Ansan defeated Mackenzie Brown (USA) 6-5 after a shoot-off in the semifinals of the women's individual archery competition at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics held at the Yumenoshima Park Archery Field in Tokyo, Japan on the 30th.

Ansan will face off against the winner of the match between Jelena Osipova (Russian Olympic Committee) and Ruchila Boari (Italy) for the gold medal at 4:45 pm.

Ansan, who won the gold medal in the mixed team event introduced for the first time at the Tokyo Olympics and also won the women's team event, wins the individual event final, becoming the first three Olympic archery champions in history.

It also sets the record for the most Olympic gold medals in Korean sports history.

Ansan gave up the first set 28-29, but showed 'Shingi' by putting all 6 shots in 2~3 sets to 10 points and made a 4-2 comeback with a set score.

Brown wasn't too bad either.

While Ansan shot the first shot in the 4th set at 8 points and was shaken for a while, Brown fired 3 shots with only 10 points to balance the set score with 4-4.

In the 5th set, the two archers, who could not decide the lead 28-28, were fiercely contested at the shoot-off.

Ansan, who drew the bow first, shot 10 points, and Brown's arrow that followed, hit 9 points, and Ansan took the qualification to challenge for the gold medal.
