In the women's individual archery quarterfinals held at the Yumenoshima Park Archery Field in Japan, South Korea's Chae-young Kang faced Yelena Osipova (ROC, Russian Olympic Committee).
Chaeyoung Kang and Jelena Osipova both scored 28 points in the first set, splitting the points by one point each.
Chaeyoung Kang showed a slight shaky appearance with 8 points - 9 points - 8 points in 2 sets and gave up 2 sets.
