Sarah Sjöström is ready for tomorrow's Olympic final in the 100 meter freestyle.

She opened faster than in yesterday's trial race, but was still only five after half the race.

But, just like yesterday, she increased the pace in the second half of the race, and after a nice finish she was second in the time 52.82 - nine hundredths faster than yesterday's trial race.

Coleman knocked out

Thus, she had overall the fourth best semifinal time.

The final will be Sjöström's second this Olympics.

In the 100 meter butterfly, each race was slower, and she finished seventh in the final - where she had a gold to defend.

For Michelle Coleman, however, there will be no final.

She only had the 14th best time, and was thus far from the final
