Controversy has arisen over the claim that "(the chance of the final match) was stolen".

On the 27th, the women's 67kg overweight taekwondo semifinal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games held at Makuhari Messe Hall A in Chiba, Japan.

The world ranking 1st in that weight class, Walkden, and 4th place Dabin Lee faced off in a fierce battle.

Walkden, who was

narrowly

leading Dabin Lee by two points, was

defeated by allowing a kick from the comeback with

just one second

left in the game.

Then, in an interview with the local media immediately after the match,

Walkdon

expressed disappointment in the referee's decision, expressing that he

was "robbed"

at his chance to win a gold or silver medal

.
