In a superb way, Algerian star Riyad Mahrez, player of Manchester City, scored a remarkable goal in his team's 2-0 victory in the team's first pre-season match against Preston North End.

A video clip - published by the English club's account on Twitter - showed Mahrez putting the ball from a direct free kick, in the manner of his famous kick in the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt, which led his country to crown its title.

Mahrez, whose goal against Senegal was linked to the African Championship, with the words of Algerian commentator Hafeez Draghi, "Put it in the joules, Riyad, put it in the joules," hit the ball very skillfully to enter the opponent's goalkeeper's net.
