No medal this Wednesday July 28 at the Olympic Games in Tokyo but some good performances with the qualification for the quarter-finals of the Ivorians at the football tournament.

SOCCER
The
Ivory Coast
team qualified for the quarter-finals of the men's Olympic tournament thanks to their draw against Germany, at the Miyagi stadium (1-1).
Second in Group D behind Brazil, the Ivorians still undefeated will face Spain, first in Pool C, on Saturday.
Egypt also qualified by beating Australia 2-0.
As for South Africa, its Olympic tournament ends after a defeat against Mexico (3-0).

The Egyptians
have one foot in the quarterfinals.
After a win and a loss, they won their third match against Japan (33-29) at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Tokyo.
With two games to go to the end of the group stage, Egypt is third out of six.
It will be necessary to finish in the first four to reach the quarter-finals, which the Egyptians have not done since the 2000 Olympics in Sydney.

Tunisia male team lost against that of US 3 sets 1 in the B group

This is the third defeat in a row for the African champions who nevertheless managed to win their first set of these Games against the bronze medalists in 2016.
The Tunisians, in search of their first Olympic victory since 1984, will face Argentina on Friday, then Russia on Sunday.
A qualification for the quarter-finals is still possible, but highly unlikely.
RUGBY SEVEN

the Egyptians

SWIMMING
South Africa in the spotlight as often, with first a disappointment: fifth place for Chad le Clos in the final of the 200 meters butterfly.
The Olympic distance champion in 2012 held out for a long time before exploding in the last 50 meters and let slip the Hungarian Kristof Milak, world record holder.
Le Clos will have the opportunity to catch up on the 100-meter butterfly, for which he is double Olympic vice-champion.
The playoffs begin this Thursday.

Egyptian Omar Assar advanced to the quarterfinals of the individual tournament.
After having passed three laps, he lost against the Chinese Long Ma (4 sets to 1).
This is his best performance at the Olympics.
ARCHERY
Egyptian Amal Adam was eliminated in the first round of the individual event by South Korean Minhee Jang (6 ends to 0).
WEIGHTLESS
In group A, the Tunisian Karem Ben Hnia takes a nice 6th place.
Moroccan Abderrahim placed last in Group B in the 73 kilogram category.
