And yet, they are not satisfied with their race!

"We did everything physically", explained the French who think they have committed "a lot of mistakes".

Not very satisfied with their race, which they paradoxically consider to be "their worst of the weekend", the Olympic champions indicate that they have managed to compensate for their mistakes "with desire".

“When it was complicated, I thought of everyone who is in the boat with us,” said Androdias.

Having started in the lead, the two French saw the Chinese, Liang Zhang and Zhiyu Liu, return, and the Dutch, Melvin Twellaar and Stef Broeninck in the first kilometer. Producing their effort, they then returned to second in the 1,500m, behind the Dutch before taking the lead in the final meters to win. An experienced crew, the two men have rowed together since 2015. Sixth in Rio, they have since won three international titles: world champion in 2018, European champion in 2018 and 2021.
