Kim Ga-eun of badminton women's singles advanced to the round of 16 at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Ga-eun Kim defeated the Singaporean women 2-0 in the second leg of Group K of the women's singles group badminton tournament held at Musashinonomori Sports Plaza in Tokyo, Japan.
Ga-eun Kim went on to win two consecutive victories after beating Mexico's Haramara Gaitan 2-0 in the first game on the 24th.
Ga-eun Kim, who finished the group stage with two wins, advances to the round of 16 with the first place in Group 1 and competes with Japan's Yamaguchi Akane, first in Group L, to advance to the quarterfinals.
