The first meeting in Malmö was won by MFF 2-1.

And before the Nordic return match in the Champions League qualifier against HJK Helsinki today, they had an advantage.

But Malmö got off to a nightmare start.

Already in the first minute, the home team got a corner.

Then Miro Tenho met the ball and put a well-placed nod past MFF's cage keeper Johan Dahlin and up in the left cross.

But the answer from Skånelaget would come after ten minutes.

Oscar Lewicki found Anders Christiansen who coolly equalized.

Malmö expanded

The second half was not as eventful as the first.

Even though both teams had chances to take the lead.

With 68 minutes played, HJK had a fantastic opportunity to reply but his shot flew harmlessly into the side-netting of the goal.

Instead, it was Malmö and Veljko Birmancevic who received it at the edge of the penalty area.

He managed the chance and expanded.

If Malmö responded quickly for a draw, HJK was even faster.

Two minutes later, Riku Riski equalized when he fired a hard shot from close range that went low in the left corner via the post and Johan Dahlin had no chance.

In the 86th minute Christiansen got a fantastic opportunity to put 2-3 but also burned that chance.

And it swung fast for right as it was, the home team got an equally good chance, but the shot was blocked.

It became frustrating and HJK pressed for a win.

But when the referee blew off the match, it was clear, 2-2 away for Malmö, and a total of 4-3 after two meetings.

The Swedish team is thus further and will face Scottish Rangers FC where national team defender Filip Helander plays.
