In June, Julia Karlernäs announced that she had stakeholders in Sweden.

- Damallsvenskan is always relevant, she said then to SVT Sport.

The Swedish high school division will also be the next address.

The 27-year-old has signed for BK Häcken and the contract extends to 2023.

- It feels super good, I am very tagged and happy to be here.

BK Häcken is a strong association and a club with good conditions and high ambitions, she says to the club's website.

"Skilled player"

The choice fell on Häcken to be part of the fight for the Swedish Championship gold, says Karlernäs who represented Piteå IF from 2017 to 2020. The Swede comes most recently from Sevilla, a club that she leaves after six months.

- Julia is a wise and skilled player.

She has a good passing foot, great attitude and a lot of routine from both damallsvenskan and international play.

We are incredibly happy to bring her in with the routine and the quality she has, says the club's sports director Mats Gren.

Karlernäs has five A-national matches on the account and has previously represented Hammarby IF and Mallbackens IF.
