Slalom canoeist Ricarda Funk won the first German gold medal at the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
The 29-year-old from Bad Kreuznach won the 25-pole course on Tuesday ahead of the Spaniard Maialen Chourraut and Jessica Fox from Australia.
