18-year-old Oliver Alfonsi made his first Allsvenskan start against Gothenburg today.

Then he introduced himself immediately.

When Calle Johansson in the blue and white defense hit a sloppy home pass, Alfonsi was on the scoresheet.

And after five minutes, it was 1-0 to the home team.

- I see that they hit a little too short ball and then I rush, so I get hold of it and chip over a little easily.

It was incredibly nice, if you go for each ball, it will come in the end, Alfonsi says to Discovery + during the half-time break.

In the second half, the 18-year-old would be there again.

Left-back Jean Carlos de Brito hit a post towards the box and Alfonsi was really close to a class goal when he tried to heel the ball.

But Oscar Wendt managed to clear the ball on the goal line and keep Gothenburg in the match.

For Blåvitt it was difficult to get an equalizer and did not get any really hot chances.

Careless defensive play by Wendt resulted in a penalty for Varberg and in the 78th minute Ryan Moon was able to puncture the match when he safely netted from the penalty spot, 2-0 to Varberg who took three important points.
