Japan takes the bronze and does so with the very last arrow.

The shoot-off ends in 29-29, but one of the arrows of the Japanese is thicker in the 10 than that of the Dutch.

Gijs Broeksma, Sjef van den Berg and Steve Wijler have to settle for fourth place.

Especially Van den Berg will be disappointed.

He was able to drag in the bronze in the fourth set with a 9, but aimed in the 8.

Sailor Marit Bouwmeester resumed her Olympic Games on Monday with seventh place in the third race.

She climbed from eighteenth to twelfth place in the standings.

Bouwmeester had a difficult start on Sunday.

She recovered somewhat in her second race.

So far, the results are on the disappointing side.
