Sabreuse Manon Brunet won the individual bronze medal in the saber event by defeating her Hungarian opponent Anna Marton (15-6).
This is the 5th charm won by the French delegation at the Tokyo Olympics.

The French fencer won in the small saber final against the Hungarian Anna Marton (15-6) and offered the 5th medal to the French delegation.
The young woman also gives French fencing its second award after Romain Cannone's gold at the épée on Sunday.
