Dubai witnessed the organization of 270 international and local sports events with the support, supervision and cooperation of the Dubai Sports Council, during the period from January 1 to June 30 of this year, which were held in various regions of Dubai, as part of the various annual sports events agenda.

The Dubai Sports Council revealed the numbers and statistics of sports events during the first half of 2021, which varied between international championships, community events, women's sports events, conferences, exhibitions, and electronic and virtual events, within 55 different sports games.

In a statement yesterday, the council said that Dubai hosted 47 international sports events with the participation of more than 50,000 athletes of different nationalities and ages, while 151 local community events were held, in which 39,409 participants from all segments of society participated, and the list of events included 45 sports events dedicated to women.
