Sarah Sjöström impressed in the trial sessions - on to the semifinals

Sjöström swam 100 meters butterfly in Rome for the first time since the elbow injury.

Then she took home the victory with a time of 57.65 on the Olympic gold distance from 2016.

She won by 28 percent, ahead of Italian Elena Di Liddo.

German Ilaria Bianchi came third.
