Moroccan Tariq Sektioui, coach of the Emirates team

"Emirates Today" learned from a source in the Emirates Club, that the club's football company has contracted with Moroccan coach Tariq Al-Sektiwi to lead the first team in the next season of the Arab Gulf League.

The source indicated that the contract term is for one season.

The coach is expected to arrive in the UAE in the coming hours in preparation for completing the administrative procedures and leading the team in the first training tomorrow evening.

Tariq Al-Sektiwi had a previous experience as a player in the Emirates with the Ajman team, and his most distinguished professional period was when he played for the Portuguese team Porto. He also previously coached the Moroccan teams of Maghreb Fez and Renaissance Berkane of Morocco, and achieved with the first the Moroccan Throne Cup, and with the second the African Confederation Cup title.
