Coach Choi Young-seok, who has led Thailand's Taekwondo for over 20 years, hugs Panipak, who won the women's taekwondo 49kg final at the Tokyo Olympics held at Makuhari Messe Hall A in Japan on the 24th.

Under Coach Choi, Thai Taekwondo achieved a series of results, including winning consecutive medals (2 silver and 3 bronze) from the 2004 Athens Olympics to the 2016 Rio Olympics.

This is the first time Thailand has won a gold medal in the Taekwondo Olympics.

Director Choi naturalized to Thailand this year.
