"The fastest Iraqi woman" responds to her accusation of doping and banning her from the Olympics (video)

The Iraqi athletics team player, Dana Hussein, published a video in which she responded to the decision to exclude her from participating in the Tokyo Olympics due to doping, stressing that the punishment she was subjected to is temporary pending the medical report sent by the Iraqi Athletics Federation to its international counterpart for a decision.

The head of the Iraqi delegation participating in the Tokyo Olympics, Haitham Abdel Hamid, had stated that the International Athletics Federations excluded Dana Hussein, nicknamed "Golden" and "the fastest Iraqi woman in history" from participating according to anti-doping rules due to the results of the tests she underwent during her participation in the championship. The last Arabs proved that they had taken prohibited substances, while the Iraqi Federation indicated that it is expected that the substances used during a cosmetic surgery that the runner underwent to improve her nose were behind the discovery of steroids, and thus caused her temporary suspension.

Dana Hussein said during the video circulating on the communication sites that she does not deserve the punishment because it was the reason for a recent plastic surgery, and cortisone was used in it in a small percentage that does not rise to the level of prohibited steroids and feels very confident that it will be redressed.

Tokyo inaugurated today the activities of the Olympic Games through an opening ceremony that dazzled the world with its good organization and beautiful paragraphs.

For its part, the Iraqi Federation called on the sports community to respect the history of Iraqi sprinting above all, explaining that it deals with the player with the size of her great achievements she has achieved since 2010 and her achievement of a large number of Medals and achieving distinguished records in short distance races, including in 100 meters running, stressing that “the International Federation deals with all member states with the same standard, as it deprives players of different nationalities, it deprives Dana if she took a stimulant substance, but the sample did not prove that according to her doctor’s report ".

Dana Hussein achieved the most prominent Iraqi achievements in athletics by finally obtaining the gold medal in the women's 100 meters race in the Arab Championship, which concluded in Tunisia, to be officially classified as the fastest Iraqi woman in history, and the fastest Arab woman for this distance for the year 2021.
