The Blacksmiths went on the season's first loss in the Elite Series in speedway on Tuesday when they were defeated by the Ducks away.

Tonight, new top resistance awaited in the form of table three Västervik.

It was a revenge-hungry Smederna who led by eight points after six heats (22-14).

This after Smedernas Kacper Woryna took a full pot, six points, in his two initial heats.

The blacksmiths had the lead throughout the match and before the nomination heat they were in a stable 43-29 lead.

Which means that only two points were needed for victory.

But Västervik made sure to keep the match alive.

Pawel Przedpelski took third and after a moment of scrutiny it was clear that Andzejs Lebedevs took second and the match went on.

But Västervik could not beat Smederna and the strong Woryna, who took 11 + 1 points this evening.

The home team took a fifth in the last heat and won 52-38.

You thus bounce back immediately after the loss and remain at the top of the table.

Exciting ending in Vetlanda

In the rival meeting between Vetlanda and Lejonen, the home team Vetlanda got off to a great start.

After eight heats, Vetlanda led 28-20.

The Lions tonight had to do without Nicolai Klindt who crashed badly on Tuesday and was taken to hospital with a concussion.

But it would be a really exciting ending.

Before the fifteenth and final heat, it was the same, 42-42.

Vetlanda finished strongest.

Dominik Kubera and Szymon Wozniack looked early to go towards a five and they kept their positions in the heat.

Vetlanda won 47-43 and thus overtakes Dackarna and steps up to second place in the table.

- It was as tough as we thought it would be.

It is run stably by most but it should not have to hang on to the last heat, says Vetlanda's Peter Ljung in C More.

The Indians and Masars tonight had to share the points after the match ended 45-45.

It was also even in Hallstavik.

But in the end it was the home team Rospiggarna who broke their losing streak and won 45-44 against the Pirates.
