Malmö beat Riga in the first qualifying round of the Champions League.

Now they have also got a promising start in the second round against HJK Helsinki - much thanks to a well-known goal scorer.

Antonio Colak scored both goals in the double meeting with Riga and had scored five goals in a row before tonight's match.

Now the Croatian has expanded that suite.

In the last kick of the first half, 27-year-old Colak placed 1-0 behind the former MFF goalkeeper Jakob Tånnander, 20. Tånnander, who left Skåneklubben before last season, spent seven years in Malmö's academy without making any A-team appearance.

With just over 20 minutes left of the match, the guests leveled, and Malmö looked set to travel with a draw to Finland next week.

But that will not be the case.

In the 74th minute, Anders Christiansen's free kick attempt from about 25 meters looked behind Swedish Tånnander, who sat on the bench in the U21 national team's meeting with Finland earlier this summer.

The return meeting will be played on 27 July.

Should Malmö advance, the Scottish Rangers will then wait in the third qualifying round.
