Introducing the enthusiasm of the Japanese national team players for the Tokyo Olympics with a video.

Ryota Yamagata has a Japanese record of 9 seconds 95 in the 100m men's track and field.

Ryota Yamagata is 29 years old from Hiroshima prefecture.

It has a characteristic of running that maintains speed from a vigorous start and connects to the finish.

He has participated in two consecutive Olympic Games in London and Rio de Janeiro, and won a silver medal as a member of the men's 400m relay at the Rio de Janeiro Games.

While having top-class ability in Japan, he had a lung illness, and last season he had an unwilling season due to the pain in his right knee.

For the first time in this season, a full-time coach was assigned to review the run and set a new Japanese record of 9.95 seconds in the race held in Tottori City in June.

Taking advantage of that momentum, he finished 3rd in the Japan Championships in the same month, and took the position of the third Olympic representative.

He is also the captain of the Japanese team at the Tokyo Olympics.
