A pair of Miki Ishii and Megumi Murakami, the representatives of Japan for the Tokyo Olympics and beach volleyball women, entered the Olympic Village and both expressed their enthusiasm for the first Olympics.

The pair of beach volleyball women's representatives from Japan, Ishii and Murakami, held a press conference on the 19th when they entered the Olympic Village in Harumi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo, where the players live.

31-year-old Ishii and 35-year-old Murakami are a pair who have left a track record in international competitions such as winning a silver medal at the 2018 Asian Games, but both are the first to participate in the Olympic Games, and Murakami said, "We are ourselves. Believing in what we have accumulated so far, I think the most important thing is to hold hands, look at each other, and go on. I want to play a match that conveys the fun of Beach Valley. " I was enthusiastic.

For the tournament, Ishii was looking ahead to the match, saying, "I want to get a little better by the match. I think there is a high probability that I can win if I can attack with the serve that I have."

For beach volleyball girls, the qualifying league will start on the 24th of this month at Shiokaze Park in Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo.
