The UAE Professional League has approved the dates of the first round matches of the Arab Gulf League, which includes 13 rounds, starting on August 19, and continuing until January 7.

Member of the Association’s Board of Directors and Chairman of the Technical Committee Hassan Talib Al-Marri confirmed, in a statement, yesterday, that “the Association sought to hold the largest possible number of matches during the weekend, taking into account the upcoming international stops, and keenness to support the march of our national team in the decisive role of the qualifying qualifiers.” to the 2022 World Cup, in addition to supporting the participation of Al Wahda and Sharjah in the AFC Champions League and anticipation of one of them completing their journey in the continental championship, where the deal will be flexible to serve the representatives of Emirati football in the external forum.

Al-Marri said: "The association sought to complete the schedule in full and provide it to the clubs about a month before the start of the Arab Gulf League, in order to give the clubs the opportunity to prepare and plan appropriately according to the principle of partnership that we follow with it, to reach the competition to the best technical, marketing and promotional practices."

According to the approved program, the first round will be held on August 19 and 20, and on August 19 it will meet: Emirates and Al-Ahly Youth, Al-Orouba and Al-Wahda, Ajman and Al-Nasr, and on August 20: Khorfakkan and Al-Ain, Al-Jazeera and Al-Dhafra, Bani Yas and Al-Wasl, Sharjah and Ittihad Kalba.

The second round will be held on August 25 and 26, and on August 25 it will meet: Ittihad Kalba and Al Jazeera, Shabab Al Ahli and Ajman, Al Wasl and Khor Fakkan, Al Ain and the Emirates, and on August 26 it will meet: Al Nasr and Al Orouba, Al Dhafra and Sharjah, Al Wahda and Bani Yas.
