The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Mohammed bin Rashid Award for Sports Creativity, Mattar Al Tayer, confirmed that the award has worked, during the last period, to communicate with local, Arab and international federations and Olympic committees, to urge them to return to sports events and tournaments, this came during the meeting of the 30th Board of Trustees, which was held Through the visual communication system, headed by Mattar Al Tayer, and in the presence of the Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Khaled Ali bin Zayed, and the members of the Board: Dr. Hassan Mustafa, Dr. Khalifa Al Shaali and Mustafa Al Arfawi, the Secretary General of the Award, Moza Al Marri, Ahmed Musaed Al Osaimi, Mona Bousemra, and the Director of the Award , Nasser Aman Al Rahma.

The ceremony was approved to honor the winners of the 11th cycle, on January 9, 2022, with direct attendance, at the headquarters of the Dubai Expo, and in the presence of international personalities from the Expo guests and the award guests.

Mattar Al Tayer said: “The award supports federations through the competition axis in the institutional category at all local, Arab and international levels, which is initiatives, programs and creative projects that aim to empower societies through sports, and have contributed to facing global challenges in the sports field, and this motivates federations to Launching the appropriate creative initiatives for each sport, in order to face the (Covid-19) pandemic and all other challenges.

The Board of Trustees congratulated the Arab athletes who qualified for the 2020 Olympic Games, which will be held in Tokyo from March 23 to August 8, and urged them to honor honorable representation, achieve achievements, and adhere to precautionary measures against the Corona virus, to ensure their safety and the safety of all delegations from the threat of the epidemic.

The Council also congratulated the UAE national team and the Arab teams qualified for the final rounds of the Asian qualifiers for the World Cup, which will start on the second of next September, and urged them to shine and compete strongly to obtain the qualification for the 2022 World Cup.
