It was an anticlimax from an otherwise fine premiere weekend for Lindgren.

Lindgren had to choose the final track as number three and took the same number.

The riders consistently chose track number one, then two and so on.

Lindgren reached the final after finishing second in the first semifinal after Emil Sajfutdinov. After the first corner, he had a close duel with the Dane Leon Madsen but managed to push himself ahead and kept the position in goal. The double reigning world champion Bartosz Zmarzlik drove past the Dane and finished third and lost points.
