The shot putter Fanny Roos has broken one Swedish record after another.

Training colleagues Daniel Ståhl and Simon Pettersson are listed as world number one and world number three this year.

But apart from the fine form, there is one aspect that separates the trio before the Olympics in Tokyo: Fanny Roos and Simon Pettersson enter their first Olympic game while 28-year-old Ståhl does his second.

- They have the same goal as me, to go to the final, so we will see how it goes.

This is their first Olympics.

It's a bit special, it's not the same as the World Cup and European Championships.

I think it will go well for them.

The same for me, says Daniel Ståhl at Friday's press conference.

- I have been with a few years so you share some experiences and so on.

You become a little big brother to Fanny and Simon.

I am extremely proud of what they have accomplished.

We pepper each other and have fun.

Takes help from old pitchers

One who appreciates the support is Simon Pettersson, 27.

- He has been in the game for a long time, so it's nice to have someone who is more experienced and knows how everything works.

The Olympics are special and very different from the European Championships and the World Cup, so for me it's nice to know about what will happen, says discus thrower Pettersson.

Despite the fact that Ståhl was in Rio five years ago and that he has had time to accumulate a championship routine, he also takes help from the more experienced.

- I know all sorts of old throwers from the world.

Then there is my coach and the family, he says.

Is there a special pitcher to help you?

- There are a few.

You do not want to mention who they are?

- No.
