Postponing the Gulf Games until January 2022
The Kuwait Olympic Committee announced the postponement of the third Gulf Sports Games scheduled in Kuwait, to be held between January 9 and 19, 2022, instead of the previous date in December of this year.
The committee stated in a circular to the local federations that the decision came "in the interest of the Kuwaiti Olympic Committee to host the third Gulf Sports Games at a time that is appropriate and appropriate for all the countries participating in the tournament and to present it in a manner befitting the State of Kuwait and the Gulf Cooperation Council."
She stated that the opening date was set to be at 7:00 pm on Sunday, January 9, 2022, with the closing ceremony to be held on the 19th of the same month after the final match of the football competition.
The Olympic Committee revealed that the group games, shooting and tennis will start on January 4, before the official opening of the tournament.
