Argentine and Italian athletes participating in the Tokyo Olympics rowing competition talked about their enthusiasm in Shimosuwa Town, Nagano Prefecture, where they are holding a preliminary training camp.

At the competition boat course in Lake Suwa in Shimosuwa Town, three Argentinean teams and 36 Italian teams participating in the Olympic rowing competition are conducting a preliminary training camp.



On the 15th, the team practiced for about 2 hours each in the morning, and while using the oars to row the boat, they checked the feel of the water.



After the practice, locals waving the flags of Argentina and Italy and yelling at the players.



After that, each team talked about their enthusiasm, and among them, Argentine player Mirka Clariheb said, "I am happy to be able to practice in the lush and wonderful Lake Suwa. I want to produce results at the Olympics."



Italy coach Franco Cutterneo said, "I am practicing for the gold medal, but I am proud that Italy is the best team in the world."



A woman in her 40s from Okaya said, "I'm practicing locally, so I want to support it even when the Olympics start."



Both the Argentine and Italian teams will continue to practice at Lake Suwa until the 17th.
