It is in a six-minute long clip on social media that Conor McGregor now tells more about the game behind the scenes before UFC 264 in Las Vegas that took place last weekend.

He then says that he had most stress fractures in his leg, and that the UFC knew this already in advance.

- I went into the match injured.

People ask me when the leg went off, but when did the leg really go off?

Ask Dana White (UFC President, editor's note), ask the UFC, ask Dr.

Davidson who is the UFC's Chief Doctor.

I had stress fractures in my leg when I stepped into the cage, says McGregor.

"I'm like Schwarzenegger"

Stress fractures occur when the skeleton is overloaded on repeated occasions and may, for example, be due to an excessive training dose.

- I needed treatment for my leg, but I would never have agreed to surgery unless something like this happened.

Now it happened and I got exactly what I needed, a titanium rod in my leg.

I'm like Arnold Schwarzenegger in Terminator.

The match in question was stopped between rounds one and two after the Irishman fell to the ground with a broken tibia with only seconds left of the first round.

Afterwards, he was forced to undergo a three-hour operation at the world-famous Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Now waiting six weeks for crutches and there after long rehabilitation.

According to Dana White, the superstar is expected to return "in a year".
