West Asian e-Football Championship kicks off tomorrow

The second edition of the West Asian e-Football Championship, which will be held under the umbrella of the International Football Association (FIFA) from 15 to 16 July, will kick off tomorrow at 5 pm, with the participation of four national federations, namely the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar.

The participation of our national team comes within the existing cooperation between the Emirates Football Association and the Emirates Electronic Sports Association, and the team is represented by four players: Rashid Obaid Al Zaabi, Ahmed Saeed Al Suwaidi, Omar Mohammed Al Hammadi and Ibrahim Ahmed Al Awadi.

Tomorrow, our team will play 6 matches against Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, where the tournament will be played in a league system in two stages: back on the PlayStation platform and back on the Xbox platform, and the winning team in each match gets 3 points, one point in the event of a tie, and zero in the event of a loss.

On the second day, and depending on the final standings after the conclusion of the first stage competitions, the participating teams compete in the second stage, where the first-placed team plays with the second-placed team to determine the winner of the tournament, and the third-placed team plays with the fourth-ranked team to determine the third and fourth places. .
