- The analysis is that I did not misbehave but I did as usual but it has not been enough.

Last winter, I got better at really pushing myself, getting out of the last bit.

I took myself out more than I could ever do before, which cost more and then I have had to replenish and recover to a whole new level.

But I have not done that, says Öberg to SVT Sport from Östersund.

Last season, Öberg competed more than ever and only stood over one competition throughout the season, a relay.

The tough competition is part of the energy shortage problem.

Öberg is now collaborating with a dietician at SOK so that the same thing does not happen in the coming Olympic season.

Must find strategies for strength

- I am learning now and will find strategies to find out how much it costs and how much I then need to replenish and recover, says Öberg.

To get maximally prepared for the Olympics in Beijing 4-20 February 2022, Öberg will compete more sparingly in the World Cup.

She has a gold medal in the distance, 15 km, to defend.

- It is a different situation now than it was four years ago, yes it is completely different really. Since the Olympics four years ago, I have established myself in the world elite and I have been able to take medals at the championships since then. I know what I can do when it comes to championships and I thrive when it comes to championships. I think it's a lot thanks to the Olympics and I have a good feeling and I know that I can do that with topping the form and to perform at the most.
