The government called a press conference to provide an update on the corona situation.

Now they have decided on further relief, in accordance with step 3 of the opening plan.

The new facilities will enter into force on 15 July, but this does not mean any further facilities for sports.

On the other hand, state epidemiologist Anders Tegnell believes that the public ceiling looks set to disappear in August or September.

"According to the existing plan, it will be removed when we enter level 1. We do not yet know exactly when it will be, but we have a positive development right now," says Tegnell.

"Depends on the development"

Step four, which Tegnell is referring to, means that the audience roof for seated spectators, indoors or outdoors, will be abolished.

- We believe that it will happen somewhere in late August, early September.

But it all depends on how the development is and that we have an even lower spread of infection and a stable situation, says Tegnell.

On July 1, audiences of up to 3,000 spectators were allowed at outdoor events.

The facilities also allow arenas that have larger sections to let in more spectators, as long as it takes place in an infectious manner.

While AIK welcomes 15,340 spectators, Varberg, for example, can only let in 392 people.
