The famous Irish fighter, Conor McGregor, lost the fight that he gathered with the American Dustin Poirier, today, Sunday in Las Vegas, in the UFC 264 mixed martial arts tournament, and he left the ring with a serious injury.

At a time when Poirier was in control of the first round, McGregor managed to escape from his opponent's grip and got on his feet, to hit a group of punches at the level of the American fighter's face.

The Irishman suffered a severe twisting of his left foot, which caused him to fracture a double leg.

The referee then ended the fight, declaring Poirier's victory by technical knockout.

For his part, the Russian former martial arts champion Habib Nur Mammadov commented on Bourier's victory, in a post on Twitter, saying: "Good always triumphs over evil. I am very happy for Bourier. Dustin, I hope you get the championship belt at the end of the year."
