The medal harvest - six, is twice as many as during the U23 championship 2019 in Gävle.

Olympic-ready Maja Nilsson took home the silver medal in the high jump after finishing 1.89 in the first attempt.

Sweden's second silver medal came through Henrik Larsson, who ran 100 meters in the time 10.36 - only eleven wonders after the winner Jeremiah Azu from Great Britain.

- A good championship for the Swedish part.

Swedish athletics continues to produce good juniors, says SVT's expert Alhaji Jeng.

Nielsen big bangs

A bang for the Swedish part was Wilma Nielsen.

The 20-year-old broke a new personal record in the final when she ran 800 meters in 2: 02.29.

A time that was enough for a nice third place.

- Glad that Wilma Nielsen is barking.

There are many who do their best results - which is not easy to do at a championship, says Alhaji Jeng.

Ragnar Carlsson won the bronze in the sledge competition while Axellina Johansson took bronze in the shot put.

Lisa Gunnarsson made a great effort during the last day of the championship when she jumped 4.40 in the pole vault competition.

A result that was enough for the bronze and Sweden's sixth medal.
