Just over a week ago, Maja Nilsson solved the Olympic qualifying limit when she jumped 1.96 in Halmstad.

On Thursday, she started the U23 European Championships well and advanced to the final competition.

There, the fine efforts would continue.

The Swede managed 1.80 easily during the final day and then missed the first jump of 1.85.

The second sat, however, and 1.89 she managed without any problems.

Maja Nilsson then missed three straight jumps at 1.89.

However, it was enough for silver.

The winner of the competition was the Ukrainian Yaroslava Mahuchikh who passed both 1.95 and 2.00.
