The Tokyo Paralympic torch will be lit at more than 880 locations nationwide from August 12, after the Olympics, in a way that makes the most of the characteristics of each region.



From August 17th, a holy fire relay will be held in 35 local governments in Shizuoka, Chiba, Saitama, and Tokyo, where the competition will be held. A fire collection ceremony was to be held to collect fires from all over the country.



Regarding this fire collection ceremony, the Games Organizing Committee announced that the ceremony will be held at the Akasaka Palace, a guesthouse in Minato-ku, Tokyo.



From the 21st, the torch relay will continue in Tokyo, and it will be lit by the torch stand at the opening ceremony of the Tokyo Paralympics on the 24th.
